Kate is a newer member of Team Akrete with deep roots in the global real estate industry. She began her career at the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and later joined the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) and their Chicago affiliate. At Akrete, she serves as an internal resource and consultant and works with external clients in the commercial real estate, finance and professional services sectors.
Kate is well-versed in analyzing client needs and providing innovative solutions. Previously, Kate was the founder of her own boutique consulting firm that helped globally facing clients develop effective communications and growth strategies. Kate’s interest in global affairs began early when she interned for a Member of the British Parliament. Her work further grew her understanding of intercultural communications, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and entrepreneurship. Kate earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science: International Relations from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Science in Communications from Northwestern University.
An articulate and curious communicator, Kate has a proven history of fostering strong relationships with stakeholders across multi-disciplinary functions. She excels at building and maintaining thriving organizational ecosystems. A connector by nature, Kate flourishes when her work helps individuals and organizations exceed their goals and expectations. Drawn to the return-to-work and women’s economic development space, Kate helps others determine their own unique, deeply personal ways to juggle caretaking commitments while continuing to explore professional aspirations.
Outside of Akrete, Kate enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family of five and dog, Coco.
