Jeff holds a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business; he is also a CFA Charter holder.

Outside his work with Akrete, Jeff is a senior investment manager with more than two decades of leadership in institutional fixed income, hedge fund and real estate sectors. Currently acting as the Deputy Chief Investment Officer of a large hospital system, Jeff’s experience includes a broad range of roles managing investments against unlevered benchmarks as well as levered, proprietary capital and hedge fund strategies. His specialties include Fixed Income (Structured Products, RMBS, MBS, CMBS) and derivatives (options and swaps) and manager selection in alternatives. His past experience includes Crestline Investors, an alternative asset manager in Fort Worth, Texas; Amundi Asset Management in New York; and ABN AMRO North America in Chicago.

Jeff is also the founder and principal of Woodward Real Estate Partners, a Detroit-area real estate investment business focused on the single-family rental sector.
