Akrete as a whole and members of our team individually are committed to making an impact on issues related to corporate social responsibility (CSR) generally, and more specifically, to expanding economic opportunities for women and minorities.
Our Founder & CEO serves as Vice Chairman of SomerCor, an SBA Certified Development Corporation that provides capital to small businesses with a mandate to serve woman, minority and veteran-owned enterprises. She also serves as Board Director and Advisory Board Chair of the Drawbridge Community Revitalization Foundation; and as a member of the JLL Supplier Diversity Council.
We also support our clients directly by providing public relations and communications counsel during campaigns making a difference. We have collaborated with clients writing and promoting CSR reports; ghost-writing policy statements on legislation; raising media awareness and writing white papers that aim to help solve the affordable housing crisis; and drafting and executing social media content that advocate for gender parity on Boards of Directors and gender equality in traditionally male-dominated industries, for environmental responsibility and for making other positive social impacts.

AMCP HERMES CREATIVE AWARDS – 2018 Platinum Award
Akrete client Skender is revolutionizing how the industry builds. The firm’s March 2018 rebrand that transformed a traditional general contractor into a vertically integrated construction, design and advanced manufacturing firm was immediately recognized as an integrated marketing success. The campaign won 10 Hermes awards; Akrete’s portion of the work was recognized with a Platinum Award, the highest honor possible in this competition that included 6,000 entries.
CONTENT MARKETING AWARDS – Best Overall Editorial – Digital
JLL’s brand journalism site Real Views won a 2016 Content Marketing Award for Best Overall Editorial – Digital. The Content Marketing Awards is the largest content marketing awards program globally. Akrete contributed approximately four articles per month to the publication during the winning time period, including many articles that earned the highest engagement analytics.
PLATINUM PR AWARDS: Employee Relations
The idea behind the winning JLL social seller program was to give JLL’s brokers and sales executives every tool they need to use social media to drive business. Akrete worked closely with JLL’s corporate PR team to create an extensive database of CRE social media influencers, to enable JLL brokers and other sales people to launch their social channels easily and with meaningful connections.
JLL Best of Americas Marketing Award
Akrete was the driving force behind the “JLL Live at DisruptCRE” digital live stream integrated marketing, digital and PR program that took broadcast from three events in New York, Chicago and San Francisco respectively, from the floor of PropTech conference DisruptCRE. The combined Akrete/JLL Markeitng and PR campaign team was awarded a JLL Best of Americas Marketing award for the programs.
